I’m feeling quite wiped out at the moment – I don’t know if it’s the weather or the season or just generally too little sleep and too much to do. \u00a0Whatever the cause, it is how it is. It’s helped quite a lot that I’m down-scaling Christmas activities – boy, was that a weight lifted off my shoulders! Now I should be doing loads of things, but I just spent a delightful half hour listening to the news and having a little knit at the latest sock project.<\/p>\n

I admit that I am a total sock addict. Last week I was all socked out and now my sock mojo is right back and bopping me on the nose. Funny that. Actually I have been looking at (strike that, drooling over is what I really should be saying!) this yarn since I came back from North America in late October – it came from the fabulous Wild Fiber shop in Santa Monica. Its been sitting in my wool basket, which is right by my desk, and tempting me on a daily basis. Ladies, I’m just not that strong!!<\/p>\n

So here it is: Pagewood Farm<\/a> hand-dyed Glacier Bay<\/em> yarn. You can probably guess the colour.<\/p>\n

No? You could you know, just look at it and it’ll jump right out at you?<\/p>\n

Still no?<\/p>\n

It’s Lavender Fields<\/em>. A more perfectly named yarn does not exist. I just have to look at it and my head is full of rolling lavender fields in southern France. Delightful!<\/p>\n
