My efforts to scale down are certainly showing results. Can you imagine, less than a week to go until Christmas and I&#8217;ve been knitting socks. I can&#8217;t remember that ever happening before. Normally I&#8217;ve gone into the headless chicken routine by now.<\/p>\n<p>Not this year though. Everything is done, bar a little last-minute food shopping. The only stress now concerns snow conditions and whether my 83 year old mother will be able to fly here from England. I really don&#8217;t want her getting stuck in Amsterdam and having to sleep on the floor at her age. Anyway we have a couple of days to see how things develop in that direction. Clark from <em>Favourite Socks 25 Timeless Designs from Interweave <\/em>knitted in Pagewood Farm Glacier Bay sock yarn in Lavender Fields. Not terriby photogenic. Much prettier in person! I know I&#8217;ve said it before ad infinitum, but this is pattern is just great &#8211; understated, elegant and doesn&#8217;t bag. A ***** recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>Now I think it&#8217;s time to make some Christmas biscuits and listen to some carols.
