I’m still stitching…<\/p>\n

Martinique is making slow progress, but it is progressing and I will get it finished. It’s amazing how much willpower I can bring to bear when I need to.<\/p>\n

However, I have absolutely made my mind up that this is a never-to-be-repeated experience. So the other quilt top waiting to be quilted is being sent to England to be sorted out professionally. On the grounds that life is too short and my sanity is too precious….<\/p>\n

Also, it’s a quilt that I absolutely love. (Unlike Martinique<\/em>, which doesn’t really light my fire!). It would really be a shame to make a mess of it….so I’m calling in the professionals and my quilt is off on an international journey.<\/p>\n

It’s Opening Day<\/em> – a Carrie Nelson<\/a> pattern from Miss Rosie’s Spice of Life Quilts<\/em>. The fabric is Lumiere de Noel<\/em> by Moda<\/a>.<\/a><\/p>\n

I can’t wait to use this quilt – it’s one of my real favourites. I love the cream and red colour scheme and as you’ve probably gathered by now, stars and flying geese just hit all my buttons….<\/p>\n

Does this count as another UFO almost completed? You know, I guess it does! Well, who would have thought that finishing UFOs would be such a breeze!<\/p>\n
