Well I guess you know what’s coming…<\/p>\n

I am a weak, weak, weak-willed woman – at least where yarn, fabric and food are concerned.<\/p>\n

The Oceanwind Knits<\/a> marino was just too tempting… I tried hard to resist, but by yesterday evening it was just too much. And I think you have to agree that these socks are just going to be a dream. I love love love the wool, the pattern, the colour – just everything about them!<\/p>\n

I’m using the Merino 100 in a colour called siren which is just the most fabulous coral colour. The pattern is sleepy hollow socks<\/em>, also from Oceanwind,<\/a> which has a very pretty leaf design – I haven’t seen one like it before. It is worked on very small needles – US 1 or 2 – I’m using the US 2 which is\u00a0 a European 2.75mm. That is a little smaller than I’m used to and initially it was a bit tricky to get set up. The pattern is certainly not for beginners – it’s listed as intermediate – and it’s keeping my brain cells busy although now that I’ve done 40 rows I’m pretty much into the swing of it. I’m intrigued (and a little scared) to see how the heel works out. Hopefully by tomorrow I’ll be able to tell you a little more.<\/p>\n

My son is asleep in bed sick, so no yoga class for me this morning – which has the benefit of a couple of hours of time that I feel justified to devote to these socks \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n
