I finally found myself a little sewing time and got down to business with Meadowsweet<\/em> and some odds and ends of solids from my stash.<\/p>\n

Something keeps drawing me towards boxes within boxes – this is the third project that’s taken me down this path, although I think the blocks are bigger this time.<\/p>\n

The left overs from the fat quarters were too small for an additional blocks but I had enough to make some hourglass blocks. I don’t know yet if these are for a border or for a quilt on their own…<\/p>\n

For once it’s proving easy to cut into the fabrics. This may be because it isn’t my favourite fabric collection ever, so there are no ‘if I screw this up I’ll never ever get more of this dreamy fabric<\/em>‘ thoughts. I’m just enjoying wandering my way through this eclectic fabric collection. There are fabrics here which I would never have dreamed of putting together – it’s an extraordinary mish-mash of styles and colours, but it’s light and summery and I’m enjoying it probably more than I thought I would.<\/p>\n

Tomorrow rain is forecast, so I’m heading back to the garden to get as much done as possible before it comes. But rainy day spells sewing day in my book…it should really spell catch up with the housework… but sometime life is just way too short to worry about such things.<\/p>\n
