Knitted in the round, with a lovely little lacy touch and the cleverest set in sleeves. A very flattering scooped neckline with the front and neck edged in i-cord. Delicious. I highly recommend it. A five star cardigan.<\/p>\n<p>Pattern: <em>Soay<\/em> by Gudrun Johnston aka <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.theshetlandtrader.com\" >The Shetland Trader<\/a> &#8211; you can find it and buy it through <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.ravelry.com\" >Ravelry<\/a>. I shortened the sleeves by 5 rows each because I was panicking about running out of yarn (OK, when don&#8217;t I?!!) and my arms aren&#8217;t very long!!<\/p>\n<p><a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.runquiltknitwrite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11.jpg\" ><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-2565\" title=\"1\" src=\"http:\/\/www.runquiltknitwrite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.runquiltknitwrite.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11.jpg 600w, https:\/\/www.runquiltknitwrite.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/09\/11-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Yarn:\u00a0<em>Lana Grossa<\/em> Merino Superfein in colour 583<\/p>\n<p>I absolutely loved making this jacket &#8211; I learned such a lot, not least how to do amazing i-cord (which is SO clever, but really not difficult at all once you get going!). It also used up 960m of yarn from my stash, which was a big help in making this year&#8217;s totals look a little less awful!<\/p>\n<p>Thank you Mel for telling me about this pattern!
