I seem to rush from one thing to the next, with hardly time to draw breath, my every move seemingly dictated by the never, ever finished to-do-list. If there were 48 hours in a day I would fill them. And I still wouldn&#8217;t get everything done.<\/p>\n<p>Then in between the hustle and the bustle, life will suddenly throw me a curved ball. A day where despite all the good intentions in the world, nothing gets done. It certainly isn&#8217;t that I&#8217;m sitting on the sofa with a gin and tonic reading the latest best-seller. But somehow there are days when I just don&#8217;t get anywhere, don&#8217;t achieve anything, get distracted and waylaid.<\/p>\n<p>Without fail when this happens I realize that life is trying to tell me something&#8230;.and that I really should listen. Usually it&#8217;s time to stop and smell the roses. Time to take a huge step back, cut out all the unnecessary &#8216;stuff&#8217; that&#8217;s going on and give myself the gift of time and space.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s time to breathe out a big breath, focus slowly on one thing at a time, go down a gear or two and realize that life is better when it&#8217;s calm and reflective. No, not just life, I am better.
