I have a mantra that gets used a lot at our house. Possessions don’t make you happy….possessions don’t make you happy….possessions don’t make you happy. And then there is cardinal rule number one …..make quilts using the stash I already possess.<\/p>\n

They kind of went out of the window yesterday…..<\/p>\n

After a turbulent teenager-ful few days, weeks, years, sometimes it’s really nice when the UPS man calls, delivering a delightful box of goodies ordered in a dark, low, angst-ridden moment – late at night after a day full of conflict and after consoling myself reading other people’s quilt blogs where they all seemed to have received delightful deliveries from the Fat Quarter Shop<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I know it shouldn’t have, but it made me feel happy and it made me feel better…until I found I couldn’t fit it all in the wardrobe….<\/p>\n

and this (Cape Cod Weekends Fat Quarters by Erin McMorris for Free Spirit Fabrics, La Creme de la Creme Fat Quarters by Lakehouse Dry Goods Fabrics)<\/p>\n

And this (Honey Dew Fat Quarters by Hoffman)<\/p>\n

They put a little sparkle in my life when I most needed it.<\/p>\n

Now I have work to do and the sun is shining….<\/p>\n
