I had spent a couple of days pulling my stash out to try to find the perfect fabric for the binding. I have a propensity to only buy small cuts of fabric (a meter costs HOW MUCH?), so I finally had to concede defeat. There was just never enough of anything to make binding for the whole quilt. Darn it. That would have been the easiest solution.<\/p>\n<p>So instead I&#8217;m following <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"http:\/\/www.sisterschoice.typepad.com\" >Nicole&#8217;<\/a>s suggestion and am making a scrappy binding. Well, let&#8217;s be honest here&#8230;.I&#8217;m scrabbling around among my scraps trying to find appropriate fabrics that I can cut into 6 1\/2 x 2 1\/2 inch strips. I thought it would be a breeze, but I guess I was way too efficient at using up my scraps when I made the quilt. Most of what I have now seems to fall either into the &#8216;not an appropriate colour&#8217; or &#8216;too eentsy weentsy to do anything with&#8217; categories. I&#8217;m getting there though and somehow I&#8217;ll pull enough scraps together to get this binding done. I&#8217;m certainly not going to buy any more fabric &#8211; this is going to be a scrap quilt through and through!
