Winter White Schnibble
It’s finally done! My fingers are shredded from all the quilting, but finally my Winter White Schnibble is complete.
I’ve been working on this for just ages and I really don’t know why it took as long as it did. I’m very happy with the result though – restful, slightly old fashioned colours and made entirely from my stash. It includes a couple of those beautiful but really difficult to use William Morris fabrics that we all bought and then didn’t know quite what to do with and some other fabrics that I picked up in Paris several years ago.
Oh and the pattern is by Carrie Nelson if you hadn’t realized. In the light of all the recent hullaballoo I would also like to point out that no, she doesn’t pay me to say she’s my favourite designer!
So now I can tick one more UFO off my list as completed and begin the lengthy discussion process involved in deciding where it should be hung up!
Have a great week!
Helen

It’s absolutely lovely Helen!!
Your colour/fabric choices are perfect!! Carrie is my favorite designer too, her patterns are wonderful and I really enjoy using them and nope she doesn’t pay me either.

Congratulations Helen – a lovely quilt and I can see how much work you’ve put into it. Hope you find the perfect place for it. I don’t know Carrie Nelson – I’m off to google her!

Your Winter White is beautiful! And you hand quilted it as well…such a lot of work, but even more beautiful because of the hand-quilting, I’m sure!
