Sewing withdrawal symptoms

Monday, February 21st, 2011

It’s always the way isn’t it?

Wanting what you can’t have?

Although on the whole I’m not really that sort of person.

I didn’t bring my sewing machine or any fabric to the mountains with me. There was no room in the car and I decided that I could more than make do with knitting and hand quilting. Anyway, there is no room to swing a cat, never mind an elderly Pfaff. There’s actually barely room to swing a small ball of sock wool and people are taking their lives in their hands sitting next to me on the sofa, where the risk of being stabbed with a knitting needle is pretty high these days.

So what is going on?

I’m dreaming about quilting. To be specific I’m dreaming about Carrie Nelson quilt patterns and certain new fabric lines, which I hope will be waiting for me when I go home…And in my dreams I can tell you I’ve been making some really amazing quilts…

Just wait till I get home and my machine starts purring! My fingers are itching in readiness….

I gave in and I’m waiting for a few shipments….not that I need anymore projects. Which bundle is that in the picture? I have buttercup on it’s way.
