The never-ending sock saga
1. I am still knitting the second sock.
2. I’m starting to think it will never be finished.
3. Despite my best efforts it’s progressing at a snail’s pace. Or even less….
4. Very, very slowly….
5. This will never end.
6. I will still be knitting this sock when I’m 92 and the moths have done for the first sock.
7. This sock is unlike any sock I’ve ever battled with before. I can’t quite work out why. The teeny-tiny needles may be to blame, but I’m not sure. I love it, but at the same time it’s driving me slowly insane.
8. But I keep plodding on.
9. Clickety click, clickety clack…
10. The never-ending sock saga.
11. I’m showing you pictures of Zürich in the spring sunshine today because I can’t bring myself to make more photos of the half-finished sock.
12. Tomorrow maybe I’ll be done.
13. But only if I neglect my family, my job and all other activities.
14. And just knit.
15. And knit….and knit….
16. More later…click click click.
Here’s Zürich….

Helen, what are you doing to me – first Rapperswil and now Zurich – how can we stick to our budget which does not permit a trip to Switzerland this year????
But seriously thanks for the memories……
As for the socks keep on clicking and you’ll get there….
Carla from a very rainy Quebec (a lot of our rivers and lakes are at flood level) – the sand traps on the golf course have turned into lakes – any moment I expect our duck friends to come back for another visit.
I’m off to my LQS to buy 10 inches of missing fabric to complete my Jacob’s Ladder quilt top (I hope they still have it in stock).

I enjoy your sense of humor, Helen. And the book I’m reading right now has me dreaming of Switzerland, so your photos are always a treat!

Thanks for the photos of Zurich. Spring is so lovely. Did I ever tell you my son went to chef’s school in Lucerne? As for the sock…you’ll get it done…click, click, click!

Therein lies the difference between “fun” and “work” – the first sock is fun because you chose to make it and the second sock is a chore because you have to make it!
Zurich (sorry no umlaut button on UK keyboard!) looks gorgeous – beautiful photos!

You’ll get there – keep clicking! Zurich is stunning. I’ve only been to Switzerland once, many years ago, but I remember how lovely it seemed.
