Meadowsweet borders and soul blossoms
I received a nice little parcel in the post yesterday from Sew Fabulous. It’s the first of two, so there should be one more on Monday.
The fabrics I had ordered to finish off Meadowsweet have arrived – with the exception of the strawberries on a cream background, which I’m definitely using for the backing. So what do you think?
Turquoise with a red binding….?
Or red with a turquoise binding….?
Or alternately the more conservative strawberries as the border and one of the two rowdies as a binding?
I’m leading slightly towards the latter, but I’ll need a fashion show next week to help me make my mind up.
The package also contained Soul Blossoms. I admit my first reaction was oh my word, what am I going to do with this? Another crazy fabric combination. What is it with the fabrics this year? So yet again, I’m going to be dipping my toes out of the comfort zone. And wearing sunglasses while I do it!
Have a great weekend,
Helen

Have you seen the quilt on Cabbage Quilts made entirely with Soul Blossoms (a couple of month ago)? Absolutely gorgeous, I fell in love instantly. Your Meadowsweet is looking terrific. I can’t say which combination is better, I really like them both.

My first choice was the first picture. Then I changed my mind. Then I changed it back again. I think either way is good!

I like the first option the turquoise with a red binding.

I like the red border with the turquoise binding although I think either will look very funky!

I think I prefer the turquoise with the red binding, but they both look fab. Great colour combo.
