Tempted
Recently I’ve been pretty good about not adding to my stash, but a month or so ago I was led a little astray over at the Yarn Yard.
2 skeins of Crannog Making Mischief – eye-poppingly purply-blue. I didn’t expect it to be as…well… bright…bold. Could I make Tea Leaves in this? I would have enough. But I might stop the traffic wearing it. It would certainly get me noticed!
1 skein of Bonny Making Mischief – for socks. Bluer and a touch more subdued than the Crannog version.
1 skein of Toddy Haar – delicate and subdued. Probably about as far away from the other two as you could get. Perfect for a pair of ladylike lacy socks.
It’s always a bit of a game of chance, ordering over the internet. I know myself just how hard it is to make photos where the colours are perfectly true. You never quite know what you’re going to get.
But life is a bit like that anyway isn’t it?

Just been back reading posts. For some reason I was convinced you were in my Google Reader – and you weren’t! Why not? I have rectified the situation and should not have to do a massive read again. Hope all is well with the school results and that you can sit back and enjoy the summer without worry – if the construction next door doesn’t do too much banging about!

I love that wool – go ahead and knit Tea Leaves with it you deserve to get noticed. Enjoy your weekend hopefully without school result worries – those kids really deserve their summer break (Moms too!!!!!).

That yarn is luscious. No wonder you were led astray. Looking forward to seeing what you knit.

The Toddy Haar looks almost white next to the other skeins, they are crazy bright. Tea Leaves would look great in the purply-blue even if it is a bit brighter than you expected.
