September 11
One of the few days where I can tell you exactly where I was and what I was doing on that day in two particular years:
- 1993 My wedding day
- 2001 At home watching CNN as the twin towers fell
Somehow it will always be a day of sadness though and I rather wish it wasn’t also my wedding anniversary.
Today I will be celebrating 18 happy years with my husband, but I will also be full of sadness remembering those who died on that day in 2001.
Two days that changed the world I live in.

Happy Anniversary! Yes, I too can remember very well where I was and what I was doing on that doomed day! Amazing how fast the last 10 years flew by though, don’t you agree?

Ahhh Happy Anniversary Helen – 18 years is wonderful (I`m 7 years behind you)….enjoy your day with your husband and lovely children. I imagine it must be difficult sharing the date with what happened that day 10 years ago…we won`t forget.

Happy Anniversary Helen.
I remember 11 Sept 2001. Rors will just a couple of months old. Chris had phoned me from work to say he’d heard something awful had happened in the US so I put on the telly. I wondered what kind of world I’d brought my son into as I watched the horror unfolding.
But the vast majority of people are good and life is worth living.

Happy Anniversary, Helen – to you both.
I remember the day so well too. A happy and sad mix for you. Marge was the one to called me to say switch on the tv – the world could be coming to an end. And I remember the disbelief and horror. It certainly has changed the world for all of us.

A very happy anniversary to you both – congratulations on your porcelain anniversary!!
(I wonder if you knew that and found something suitable?!)
Porcelain – just as easily shattered as many people’s lives that day 10 years ago. Feeling incredulous. Still, if it’s valuable, it’s worth putting back together and from then on, we’re particularly careful and appreciative – life does go on, thankfully.

Happy anniversary. Difficult day to balance such varied emotions. Count your blessings and the joy your family brings you. There is much good in the world despite 9/11 and other atrocities.
