Highland Fling – a delightful shawl. I love the border with its points and bobbles. I’m going to walk to the shop now and give it a test drive! Just right for a cold, bright afternoon.

That is lovely Helen – such a quick finish – unlike me who took 2 years to knit a scarf. I’m sure that it will keep you nice and warm.

Very, very nice, just the job for the current weather conditions.

That’s a beautiful pattern and you did it so quickly. I’m full of admiration. My socks have ground to a halt 🙁 Must get going again!

love the shawl, but as cold as it has been is that all you need for warmth? I’d be bundled from head to toe!
I am ready to graduate from scarves and cowls to something with a little more shape. Can you suggest what my next knitting project should be? I’m thinking something with a cotton blend yarn since it’s always so warm here.
thanks, di xo

Ooh, a lovely neutral – how did it fare?! I relied entirely on Malabrigo lace wrapped firmly double, up to the chin and over the chest, as well as hat over the ears and felt deliciously cosy on my outings today… my only problem is that my lovely warm mittens are huge, so need to knit some more that are a closer fit. Poor me!! ;o
BTW, “gestrickt & zugenäht” is having a sale and offering some Malabrigo Worsted in a pretty purple for 50% – they’re very reliable mail order…
