Drop everything!
and get yourself down to your nearest cinema to see this…. THE BEST EXOTIC MARIGOLD HOTEL
A group of elderly Brits move to live in a dilapidated cinema in Jaipur, India when their funds will no longer stretch to living in England. Starring Judi Dench, Maggie Smith, Bill Nighy, Penelope Wilton, Tom Wilkinson among others. Utterly, utterly charming, funny and delightful with the most fabulous cast imaginable….but you probably do need to appreciate the British sense of humour. One of the nicest films I’ve seen in a very, very long time.
Unfortunately it doesn’t open in the US until May.
Worth waiting for though!
Helen

I don’t suppose it will ever make it to Boussac cinema, but just in case, I’ll be watching out. Sounds brilliant, and what a cast!

So frustrated – it’s only in German locally, so need to scout round for the English: do I have to go to Zurich?!! But dying to see it!
BTW also really enjoyed The Iron Lady (completely different…!) – superb performance.

What an amazing cast and I`ve had a crush on Bill Nighy since he was in The Men` Room.

I wanted to see it, but the local cinema put it on at a PITA time, so I’ll have to wait til it hits Sky. My mum and dad saw it a couple of weeks ago and loved it though, although as they’re off to India, first stop Jaipur, on Thursday, my mum’s worried she’s going to be disappointed lol

I have been seeing the previews for this film and have already decided that i know I will love it. May will be here soon enough, the way this year is already flying by.

Hi Helen – I totally agree with you on the film.. Lovely feel good film – great cast… Now looking forward to Salmon Fishing in the Yemen.. that looked good too. Hate going to the cinema and feeling angry, scared or uncomfortable… So this type of film does it for me every time. I am off to India in February …. looking forward to it now.
Will look forward to meeting you in London at the FQ retreat..
