Slowly does it!
Today I’ve been making zillions of blue and yellow half square triangles to add to my pink, green and orange zigzags in between weeding and cleaning the house. I’ve changed my method and am now starting with 3 1/2 in. squares and cutting them down to 3 in. once they are sewn to make sure that everything stays nice and square. It does waste a bit of fabric and put another (trimming) step into the process, but it makes piecing the squares much easier and they fit together much better.
I still think that it might have been an idea to work slightly bigger….but too late now….
I’ll be making triangles till the cows come down the mountains at the end of the summer at this rate!

Well as long as they bring you a few Milka bars to keep you going… ;o)

Just remember that it is not a contest – you are doing this because you enjoy the process – it is not as though someone is going to be cold while waiting for this quilt to be finished.
By the way it is going to be lovely – if I didn’t already have a whole backlog of projects I would definitely be getting on to this pattern.

I love the happy mochi yum yum, or whatever it’s called! I imagined the patterns to be much bigger. Keep plodding on with the HST’s – you’ll only be slightly mad when you’ve finished!
