Every year for about a week my local farm shop sells poppies and cornflowers – they are pretty cheap, they don’t last long, but without a doubt they are one of the things that give me the most unadulterated pleasure in my year (along with the first daffodils).
Enjoy!

Have a great Saturday,
Helen

I love seeing fields of poppies at this time of year, but I never seem to have my camera and be in the right place at the right time!

Breathtakingly gorgeous – my favourite colour combo of all!!
I love that many verges are now left to their own devices and the pops of red from the poppies make me smile whenever I pass them, as I did driving through the Linth Ebene last week…

These poppies and cornflowers are soooo beautiful. Love the photos.
I’m gradually switching my courtyard/bird garden to mostly purple/blue, red and yellow. Gotta see if I can grow these beauties in New Mexico…I have no prob growing pink ones, but I want that RED….
Thanks for sharing these with us.
