Advent candles
A little late…due to our Barcelona trip and the fact that everything on the foliage front is covered in a thick layer of snow…but here are our advent candles.
Made by my eldest daughter – who loves anything to do with decorating for Christmas. I was out watching Daniel looking a bit rough in Skyfall and lo and behold, came home to find that my eldest fairy had worked her magic. (For those of you with small children, this is one of the greatest joys of parenting an 18 year old – they DO stuff!)
For a tutorial on how to do a decoration like this (or how we do it every year at least) click here.
Wishing you a peaceful second Advent Sunday.

Beautiful! How nice for you; a date with Daniel as well as such a gorgeous candle arrangement when you came home! You are lucky!

This is beautiful and I went back and read how you made it. I wish we had all these beautiful evergreens growing in our garden

We have just been to Christingle with about 300 under-7s! So having a lovely 18 year old who can (and does!) make such charming decorations as these seems like something to look forward to.

Oh, love the Advent candles, and how wonderful that your daughter put together the display for you!
Wasn’t Skyfall a great movie…I think I could actually see it again!
