Hands up!
OK, now be honest with me….
Who joined me in feeling a great big sigh of relief when the last family member went out of the door this morning?
Phew.
I love the lot of them, but it felt SO good to be in an empty house and have some time to myself again!
I was really raring to go this morning. It felt like the start of something new, and I was in Mrs Super Efficient mode…..so I’ve edited a couple of surveys, sent off my CV into the ether and maybe in the direction of that new job I mentioned, taken a yoga class, washed floors and cleaned bathrooms…..and it feels great!! I’m still not completely over my flu (can you believe it’s been a whole month?), but I’ve had enough of it and it has to go, so I’m having a real health and fitness campaign!
My prize for getting all that lot done was a little sewing time….the January blocks for Nicole (Follow the White Bunny) for Sew Euro-bee-an. Nicole had asked for these + and x blocks in black, white, grey and a strong colour. They are going to make a really striking quilt! I loved using some of the really cool lettered fabrics I’ve acquired recently.
OK, so what’s next? There might be time for something else before the munchkins get home š
Helen

My hand is up! Although it felt strange to be alone this morning and I was missing my daughter (she went back to China yesterday) I also got lots done. I put all my Christmas stuff away, which took my nearly all day as I have A LOT! Then I made dinner with whatever was left in the cupboard and fridge and made a long shopping list for tomorrow. I also washed a few loads. Unfortunately no time for sewing, maybe tomorrow!

I’m with you! It feels nice to have a visitor free house, and all the decorations down. It doesn’t feel quite as nice to be back at work though – not much time for sewing.

Well, you already know I rejoiced this morning. And took a nap. Those blocks are amazing! Love them so very, very much. Might have to copy them.

Oh man! To be able to get all that done… I’m envious! Glad you had a great day!

“I am Woman Here Me Roar” should be your theme song. You have had a great day. I love the quiet of my home, too

Sadly I was the first out of the door this morning and last one home, so no sewing for me š

As a substitute teacher I was glad to be going out the door to school this morning š It was DH birthday today so our decorations and tree are still up for another week – but that’s okay. I love having the tree lit up in the evenings when our days are still so long and dark. I hope you have many more happy days like today!

Yup, we’re glad they’re back at school and uni. They’re not, but too bad!
