Material Girl…
I have a mantra that gets used a lot at our house. Possessions don’t make you happy….possessions don’t make you happy….possessions don’t make you happy. And then there is cardinal rule number one …..make quilts using the stash I already possess.
Mmmm…
They kind of went out of the window yesterday…..
After a turbulent teenager-ful few days, weeks, years, sometimes it’s really nice when the UPS man calls, delivering a delightful box of goodies ordered in a dark, low, angst-ridden moment – late at night after a day full of conflict and after consoling myself reading other people’s quilt blogs where they all seemed to have received delightful deliveries from the Fat Quarter Shop.
I know it shouldn’t have, but it made me feel happy and it made me feel better…until I found I couldn’t fit it all in the wardrobe….
I got this (Lumière de Noel by French General for Moda)
and this (Twin pack of Moda Candy Bars)
and this (Cool Water Batiks Fat Quarters , Cool Water Sapphire Paisley Flourish yardage, Honey Dew Celery Pressed Leaves yardage, all from Hoffman Fabrics)
and this (Cape Cod Weekends Fat Quarters by Erin McMorris for Free Spirit Fabrics, La Creme de la Creme Fat Quarters by Lakehouse Dry Goods Fabrics)
And this (Honey Dew Fat Quarters by Hoffman)
They put a little sparkle in my life when I most needed it.
Now I have work to do and the sun is shining….

You have done well for your self. Funny, I also saw those candy bars on a web site and I thought they were real chocolate bars. They really looked like it! But much better in fabric; no calories ;).
