The Rhein (Rhine) Falls near Schaffhausen, Switzerland – today, after several days of torrential rain.

Rather a metaphor for my life at the moment.
Trying to feel the zen…..
….and hoping to get back to the sewing machine before too long…

I saw that you had had a lot of rain-that’s a fast flowing river!

Breath deeply, get a cup of tea, and tell the turbulent ones to fend for themselves for a bit!

Great shots Helen – sorry to hear things are turbulent. Hiope there are calmer waters soon.

I remember the Chalet School girls visiting the Rhine Falls at Schaffhausen! I think before I began reading your blog my idea of Switzerland was entirely based on the Chalet School books. Hoping things calm down for you soon.

Oooh, I’ve been there! The sun was out when I was there though, so I hope the sun comes out on your life shortly too!
PS, I had to giggle at Kathryn’s comment, I was a Chalet School book fan too š

Helen, those are some dramatic photos! I just went past the Falls on the train about 10 days ago with my brother and his wife, who were visiting Switzerland. Thankfully we had a handful of sunny days while they were here. Our glimpse of the falls looked entirely normal. what a difference a week makes.
I pray that peace is restored to your corner of the world. Time flies, I can’t believe it’s June. Now if the weather would only behave appropriately. Bless you.

Sorry to hear that life is getting you down. We are all thinking of you! remember the only way to go when you are at the bottom is up! up! up!.
I remember my trip tho the Rhein Falls- with many warnings from my friend to not expect Niagara and what did we find— but picture postcards of Niagara Falls with “Rhein Falls” printed on them! We laughed over that.
Take care Helen and we all are thinking positive thoughts for you. See ya whenever you make it back to blogland

I’ve been thinking about you as we hear and see the news stories about the flooding throughout Europe. Praying for safety and calmness (inside and outside) to be restored.
