Just nothing like it…

Saturday, July 17th, 2010

The temperatures are down a little and I have finally settled down to a little hand-quilting. And it’s heaven, just heaven…

I had (fairly firmly) resolved not to embark on more hand quilting projects, because well, although I love ihand-quilting, I’m pretty slow and well…..life is just too short… I’m certainly not going to embark on any giant-sized hand-quilting projects, not for a good while at least. My last couple of hand-quilted quilts have taken me eons to finish. But this one was just too tempting – my Winter White Schnibble from Miss Rosie’s Quilting Co. It’s only about a metre square (36 inches square for the non-metric among you), so really can’t take too long. And there is nothing in the world more soothing than hand-quilting combined with a good audio book. That’s real R&R to me! And right now, that’s just what I need!!!

Have a relaxing weekend!

Helen

Hello, I’ve come to visit from your comment on Yarnstorm! I run too, but am desperately wanting to learn to quilt. There’s a yarn shop nearby and I’m planning to start a quilting course in September. Yours looks beautiful!
