Where in the world?

Sunday, January 19th, 2014

I know, I know….I’ve been a shockingly bad blogger…..

Life keeps getting in the way, but I HAVE been sewing – my Fireworks blocks are done and I just need to finish gaffing around with placement and then that one will be on the road. It seems like forever, and probably is, since I got anything to a stage where I could quilt it.

Right now though I’m busy for another reason. i’m packing for my 50th birthday gift to myself.

A prize goes to whoever can guess where I’m going and what I’m going to do there….

Here’s a clue…

I’ll choose a winner in a couple of days.

On that happy note….keep smiling 😉

I’m guessing skiing maybe wherever it is, or is the snow on the mountain behind just there to confuse?!

    Have fun anyway 😀

I guess that’s Tokyo with Fuji in the background?!
If you are going there, I am a bit envious…
Tokyo is amazing and huuuuuuuge and fantastic.
Perhaps my favourite city ever ever ever.

What you might be doing there is difficult to say… I simply hope it will be pleasant… As it is an auto-present, I hope you’ll go there to shop japanese fabrics and magazines and that you visit a quilt show! Wish I had quilted back then….

    Love
    Christine

Well… I was going to guess Seattle… Because I’m not creative… But my full-of-trivial-information-you’ll-never-need husband said Asia… So I’m going with Japan 🙂
Because they have beautiful oceanfront settings like that. The baby daddy (not the hubby) was stationed there for three tours. He loves Japan. 🙂 Wr have some of the coolest gifts from there that he sent back…. Delicate little wooden puzzles of arches and stuff and even better those coffees in cans that are so super sweet they make you diabetic in one sip! Lol

You’re off to Japan aren’t you, to the quilt show. Have a great time, and behave!

Tokyo International Great Quilt Festival? I’ve been a few times and it’s fantastic, although the quilt show as well as the shops are very distinct Japanese (as in colour and style). Have fun!

Oh goodness me is that Mount Fuji and Tokyo? I have always wanted to go to Japan! It is on my ‘one day’ list – I’m glad your ‘one day’ has arrived and you are on your way! Have a fabulous time – would love to hear all about your adventures in the Orient x

  12. Jan Says:

I think it’s Tokyo because of the buildings and mount Fuji in the background. I think you’re to buy fabric, take in a quilt show/festival and buy more fabric 🙂

  13. Thimbleanna Says:

The Tokyo Quilt Festival! Oh, you lucky girl! I hope you’ll show us some pictures of your favorites. My longtime source for TQF pictures doesn’t go anymore, so I’m on the hunt for new sources. Have a fabulous time!

  14. Annabella Says:

Jealous!! I had no idea but everyone seems to think it’s Tokyo – I can’t pretend that I did! Have an amazing time you lucky thing.

  15. Charla Says:

I won’t say because I know, but the mountain does give it away!

  16. Flying Blind Says:

Tokyo and the International Quilt Festival, and SHOPPING!!!!

  17. paige sato Says:

Tokyo? The Japanese Mister and I both thought that was mt. fuji in the background. if you’re off to Japan, you need to see Jiro Dreams of Sushi (a documentary, about 18 months old). It captures Japan in the nutshell of sushi.

  18. Diane Says:

Since I know I won’t play but wanted to wish you a wonderful holiday and a very happy birthday.

  19. Gill Says:

Is it Tokyo? (Like all the others, LOL). Mt Fuji and all that. Wishing you a wonderful trip and all the best for your birthday 🙂
