Siblings Together
There hasn’t been a massive amount of sewing going on here recently…..life just seems to keep getting in the way, but I did manage to finish my Siblings Together quilt with the help of all the lovely ladies in the European Siblings Together bee.
(For those of you who haven’t heard of Siblings Together, just let me tell you that it is a British charity that organizes summer camps to keep siblings who have been separated while in the care system in contact with each other. All the kids who go to camp go home with a quilt….hence this one).
I hope whichever little girl gets this quilt will enjoy snuggling under it 😉

Oh, thank you for the explanation — I just thought Siblings Together was a quilting bee that you belonged to — I had no idea it was for a charity quilt. What a wonderful charity for quilt donation — some little girl will be very lucky!

This is a lovely quilt Helen. I have a flimsy and backing that needs to be turned into a Siblings Together quilt top once I get the time (and nerve!) to get FMQ’ing.

Hi Helen,
We are delighted to say we have received the quilt! Check at our Twitter for a lovely picture of it arriving at our offices.
If anyone else would like to get involved quilting for Siblings Together, don’t hesitate to get in contact 🙂 The children absolutely love having a quilt they can keep and cherish it. No matter how much upheaval and moves they go through, the quilt can be a beautiful constant and a reminder that people in the world care about them.
Best wishes,
Deborah
