Nuremberg Christmas Market
Frosty cold, with tingling toes and rosy cheeks we visited the Christmas market in Nuremberg this weekend. We needed fortification with traditional Feuerzangenbowle, which left us with a warm glow in our stomachs and smiles on our faces. We ate Nürnberger Bratwurst, Lebkuchen and Marroni (roast chestnuts) and soaked up the atmosphere. Here are a few of the sights to whet your appetites and bring a little German Christmas spirit to you wherever you may be.
Happy advent!

Helen, thank you so much for this post! I felt like I was on vacation in Nuremberg! What a fantastic shopping experience! Even if you didn’t buy anything, one would enjoy just looking at all that wonderful Christmas stuff. I could not believe the cookie counter, with all those decorated cookies hanging in the background. And the hand painted ornaments? Exquisite. I have to go back and look at all the photos again!

Helen – Thanks for sharing the great photos. I have a collection of Nutcrackers and enjoyed seeing them in your photos. I’m going to share your photos with my husband.
