Happy 4th Advent

Sunday, December 19th, 2010

I want to wish all of you what I’m wishing for myself today. A happy and peaceful Sunday. A time to gather strength and sanity before the festivities begin in earnest.

I took this photo just as the sun was starting to go down yesterday on my way back from the supermarket across the road. Sights like this never fail to lift my spirits and make me realize that I’m lucky to live here. (I’d be even luckier if I lived in one of those lovely old houses, which date from the 1600s originally, but hey, you can’t have everything!)

Helen, thank you for that lovely picture – it looks so peaceful with those pastel clouds and the snow. I too am looking forward to a quiet Sunday (after a full day of cooking and entertaining yesterday) – perhaps a walk to the Library this afternoon to pick up some holiday reading. Enjoy the rest of your day.

Gorgeous! When I see a photo of such a beautiful place I’m really wondering what we are doing here! But of course I shouldn’t forget that it’s not always quite like this (like a calendar picture I mean). But when it is, then it’s really perfect, isn’t it? Best wishes Vreni x

It looks like a Christmas card, Helen (your photo). Happy Sunday, my friend.
