Happy Foot!
Despite the chaos of the Easter weekend, I finally managed to finish the first of the sleepy hollow socks using Merino 100 from Oceanwind Knits (the pattern is from Oceanwind too).
I am so proud of it! Certainly the trickiest sock I’ve ever knitted – but it’s gorgeous and I love it! I’m sure it will be much easier making the second one. The heel gusset and flap were worked in a way that I haven’t tried before which took a little figuring out. The pattern was challenging too – but now I have it sussed and I can tell you…I’m flying!!! I can really recommend the Oceanwinds wool – it’s so nice to knit with and the colour is fabulous. I’m sure my photo doesn’t really do it justice.
So I guess you know what I’ll be doing this evening! Yup, a little gentle knitting and then an early night as I have a long slow 17km training run planned for the morning, round the lake that I look out at through my kitchen window.
Have a good start to your week!
Helen
