Daddy bag, mummy bag and baby bag

Thursday, December 9th, 2010

Oh I’ve been having such fun with these bags. For those who missed recent posts they are Zippy Strippy bags from Atkinson Designs using Bliss fabric by Moda. Nicole warned me that they would be addictive – and they really are.

They are also a perfect project for jelly rolls. They are absolutely the perfect way to mix and match the fabrics from one co-ordinated fabric line. And I think they are going to make some very nice presents. You can’t see too well from my photo, but the bases of these bags are fairly wide – and I think they will hold a surprising amount. Putting in the zips is super easy – and if you’d like to see how it’s done, then have a look at the tutorial on Nicole’s site.

Before you think that I’ve been letting things at home go to hell in a handbasket I just want to let you know that these three were made incredibly quickly in a few late night and early morning snatched hours. I loved making them and now I’m really enjoying just looking at them.

This is certainly a pattern that it’s worth investing in. Highly recommended by Helen in Switzerland!

Have a nice evening!

Helen

Something that uses jelly rolls you say? I’m in…just as soon as I’ve finished the many other Christmas and baby projects I have on my never ending to make list.
